| LITEBOOK 60-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE The Litebook Company Ltd. ("Litebook") offers a SIXTY (60) day money back guarantee on its units, effective from the date of purchase. This guarantee is subject to the condition that the unit has not been subjected to unauthorized repair or abuse, and that it is returned in its original packaging. If a unit is returned, it should be sent freight prepaid to The Litebook Company at one of the addresses below. The unit's purchase price less an original shipping and handling cost of $30 US or $40.00 CDN will not be refunded until the returned unit is received and inspected by Litebook. TWO YEAR WARRANTY The Litebook Company Ltd. ("Litebook") warrants, subject to the conditions set forth below, that should this product be defective by reason of improper workmanship or material during the specified warranty period, Litebook will repair the same effecting all necessary parts replacements, without charge for either parts or labour. The warranty period is as follows: 1. Labour : TWO (2) Years from the date of original purchase.
2. Parts : TWO (2) Years from the date or original purchase. Conditions 1. Unauthorized Repair, Abuse, Etc.: The unit must not have been previously altered, modified, repaired or serviced by anyone other than The Litebook Company Ltd. The serial number on the unit must not have been altered or removed. The unit must not have been subject to accident, misuse, abuse, or operated contrary to the instructions contained in the Instruction Manual. Should the unit be used for commercial purposes or rental. Litebook's standard commercial warranty will apply. The opinion of Litebook with respect to this matter shall be final. 2. Proper Delivery: The unit must be shipped, freight prepaid, to The Litebook Company Ltd, Suite # 6, 941 South Railway Street, Medicine Hat Alberta T1A 2W3 CANADA. Effective September 1, 2003, US residents can return the product to The Litebook Company 309 – 2nd Street, Sweetgrass, MT 59484. The unit must be returned in either its original package or similar package affording an equal degree of protection and with instructions indicating an address to which the repaired unit must be returned. Defective accessories should be returned to Litebook as a separate repair item. The repaired unit or accessory will be returned to customer freight prepaid. Service correspondence, and inquiries should be directed to the address, telephone number or e-mail address given on the reverse of this card. 3. Proof of Date of Purchase: This warranty applies to the product from the original date of purchase. Therefore, the owner must furnish proof of original purchase with either bill or receipt. BY STATUTE, BY COURSE OF DEALINGS OR USAGE OF TRADE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABLE QUALITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL LITEBOOK BE LIABLE FOR AN AMOUNT GREATER THAN THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE UNIT OR FOR ANY SPECIAL. INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH SAID UNITY AND LITEBOOK NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY REPRESENTATIVE OR OTHER PERSON TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY OTHER THAN AS IS EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN. |
