What is meridian-centered therapy?
There are 14 meridians in the body. Two are related to our own systems and regulate our central selves. the other 12 are related to our 24 hour days. The meridian system is the one most people are confronted with when they fly to different time zones, such as to Europe or Asia. The body is acclimated to your own time zone, and is used to having you get tired (and send out melatonin) and wake up (by sending out cortisol) at certain times of day. When you suddenly put the body in another part of the world, it loses it's sense of balance and doesn't function normally. This experience is a good one to look at for a basic understanding of the meridian system. The meridian system is also useful to work with when improving health. This system can apply well to help balance stress and its impact on our systems, as well as unrooting causes for pain such as migraines, other headaches, back pain, and much, much more.
What effects can I expect?
Energy therapy can address that relationship between mind, body and spirit for those wanting to sharpen their mind, strengthen their immune system, relieve pain and common complaints such as colds, and keep yourself grounded and balanced.
What is an
Energy Therapy session like? This form of therapy is a light-touch or no-touch form of care that usually involves non-strenuous activities, consistent assessment and education to show results, and holding points or working in the body's biofield in various ways. With an emphasis on understanding, most sessions combine learning about the imbalances in your body and professional therapy to adjust or correct imbalances. Clients stay fully clothed during treatments. Easy self-care exercises are usually provided with each session, based on that day's findings.
